First and foremost - ASK what your dog is receiving. Do not give your Havanese the Lepto shots. 1. If you buy your puppy from Sonrisas it has been given its first parvovirus shot and distemper shot at eight weeks. It should not be repeated. 2. At twelve weeks the puppy should be given the second round of parvo and distemper shots. Nothing more. 3. At sixteen weeks the puppy can be given the third round of parvo and distemper. Do not give the rabies at this time. 4. Wait for at least another four weeks or preferably until the puppy is 6 months to give the rabies shot but be sure to do it separately from the other shots. 5. At one year give distemper and paravovirus and then not again until the puppy is more than seven years old. 6. Give rabies as required by law. 7. Do not give Corona, Giardia, Leptosporosis, or Lyme Do not give Boretella unless absolutely necessary. |
